Write first, in outline

The most useful first message is short. Your nationality, the countries you have lived in over the past decade, whether anyone is applying with you, and what you are actually trying to achieve — a second travel document, a tax position, a contingency plan. Four lines is usually enough to establish whether this programme fits and whether your file is viable.

What not to send

No passport scans, no bank statements, no tax returns and no details of a criminal matter in a web form or an unencrypted email. That material is needed eventually — the Financial Intelligence Unit requires it — but it should travel through a secure channel once there is an engagement, not before.

What we will tell you

Whether the programme suits what you described, what the government figures are for your family composition, which documents will govern your timetable, and where we think the application would run into difficulty. If the answer is that Vanuatu is the wrong programme for you, that is the answer you will get.

What we will not do

We do not guarantee approval, because the decision is the Commission's. We do not quote a delivery date, because none is published. We do not arrange routes around due diligence, and an enquiry asking for one will not receive a proposal in reply.

Response times

Enquiries are read on working days and most are answered within one. A message sent over a weekend or a public holiday waits until the next working day. If several days pass without a reply, the message probably did not arrive — send it again by a different route rather than assuming an answer.
