What this site is

An independent guide to the Vanuatu passport, published privately. It is not a government website. It has no connection with the Government of Vanuatu, the Citizenship Office and Commission, the Financial Intelligence Unit or any Australian authority. Where a figure or a date appears here it is drawn from published material and identified as such; where a document says something different, the document governs.

Information, not advice

Reading these pages does not make you a client and does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Nothing here is legal, tax or immigration advice for your situation, because your situation contains facts this page cannot know: your nationality, your residence history, your tax position and what your own country requires when one of its citizens takes a second nationality. Those questions belong to a qualified adviser in your own jurisdiction.

Figures, rankings and dates

This site publishes a destination count of 88 and explains, at some length, how that count is built and why other publishers reach different numbers. Rankings are compilations, not facts of nature — whether a visa on arrival counts, whether an electronic visa counts, whether territories are listed separately, all change the total. Contribution amounts and fees are set by regulation and can be altered by regulation. Entry rules belong to each destination and change without notice. Before you act on any number here, confirm it against its source.

What nobody can promise you

Citizenship is granted by the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission at its discretion. No agent, adviser or website can guarantee approval, and none can commit to a date, because no service standard is published. The due diligence fee pays for the examination, not for its outcome. Anyone telling you otherwise is telling you something about themselves.

Applications go through a designated agent

The programme does not accept applications filed directly by the applicant. A designated agent must lodge them. References on this site to what is required describe that process; they are not an offer to bypass it, and no part of this site should be read as an invitation to avoid due diligence or to withhold material information from the Commission.

We take care over accuracy and we correct errors when we find them, but we accept no liability for decisions taken on the strength of a page rather than on advice. Fees, rules and destination lists change faster than any guide can track.
